End-line Evaluation of the Integrated School Health Programme (ISHP) in the Eastern Cape

With the third phase of the Multisectoral HIV Prevention Programme (MHIVP) due to end in June 2021, GIZ commissioned SAM to conduct an end-line survey of the Integrated School Health Program.

The aim of the end-line evaluation is to assess the extent to which the institutional structures of the three departments in the Eastern Cape Province (DOE, DSD, and DOH) have been developed and strengthened to efficiently oversee and manage the implementation of the ISHP policy in the Eastern Cape Province.

The evaluation also includes a cost-effectiveness analysis to establish whether the investment in the integrated school health programme has resulted in the desired educational outcomes for learners.
